Update 7/8/15: Buggy, buggy, buggy! Random reminders (today I was reminded that I have yoga class on Saturday), crashes constantly, disappearing to-do items (Ive put in my grocery list twice. Finally gave up and went back to Reminders), and its not syncing with Google like its supposed to. Sorry Emily, I really want to like this app (especially since I spent $5 on it), but youre really going to have to step it up, honey. This app isnt worth $.99 at the moment.
First of all, I LOVE Emily Ley’s design aesthetic. Everything she makes, the planners, journals, and the app itself are very clean and simple to use. I have one of her paper planners that I really enjoy, and I’ve been looking forward to the app!
I downloaded the app today knowing that this is its first run, so there’s going to be bugs to work out and later updates to come (for example, I’m sure they’re working out the sync issues and it will sync in both directions with iCal and Google Calendar soon). However, as much as I love Emily’s products, this app’s functionality is nowhere near worth $5. Maybe MAYBE if the “themes” (which are really just color schemes) were included in the price, but they’re an extra $.99 each on top of the cost of the app. Stick with Sunrise or Google Calendar or whatever calendar app you’re using for now and save your money until the updates start rolling out, then maybe it’ll be worth the price.
